Description

Here is a new and a bit different light frame for my X1C printer.

I got inspiration from many models already out there, but I also wanted a glass riser, so I created a new model from scratch.

You need to get a strip light with a maximum width of 10mm.

I got 2 metres of this one:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116055011800?var=416224158480

Note: I've been told by a few users that the frame didn't fit, so I've updated the insert frame. It's a tiny bit smaller now and it should compensate for any printing dimension errors.

Printing instructions:

Print the base selecting the plate you need: the hole for the cable can be on the left or right side (from your point of view):

If you want to print the gasket in TPU, you have to print the “Top” and “TPU” plates:

If you don't want the TPU gasket, you can print the “Top without TPU” plate:

Print the Levers with or without the TPU option:

ATTENTION!!!

If you need to separate the Top from the Base, you would need to print the Unlock tool or use a screwdriver or anything that can push out the Top part through the hole.

If you try to separate them by hand, most likely it will break.

I also suggest printing a couple of Clips PTFE Chain from Ariox3D to keep the tube from bumping into the strip light rail.

Assembly instructions:

Attaching the strip light.

I printed this in order to improve the lighting in my Bambu X1C. I also want to support my AMS unit and allow opening of the glass top and settled on this riser for the LED support and another on top for AMS support. Overall this accomplishes what I need, although others may find a better solution. Printing this riser was relatively easy and turned out well - basically I just downloaded the two plates I needed and printed them using the default settings. I am also printing the AMS X1C Sleek Riser by kisscoool18 which can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/495310 on top of this, so for this one, I only needed to print the 'Right Side' and 'Top Without TPU' plates. Once printed, they snapped together nicely and I was then able to install my LED strip light -purchased on Amazon.ca: Lepro LED Strip Lights, 16.4ft 12V Dimmable Strip Lights, 6000K Daylight White. I chose this LED strip because it includes a power module and switch. For handy use, I wanted to install the LED switch at the right side of the X1C near the front. So I needed to cut (on my tablesaw) a cord slot in the front right corner piece. The LED strip peel and stick adhesive seemed to bond well but I added a few hot glue spots for redundancy as I wanted to fill the cord slot with hot glue anyway. My photos show only this X1C with riser installed as the second is being printing. Thanks to Tribio for the very nice work in providing this design. I'm really thrilled with the improved lighting.

Thank you so much for your feedback! Your idea of combining the two models is really good! Let me know if you need any modification of my model, maybe I can do a better front corner slot for your cable? Or let me know if you have any problem fitting the AMS riser on top.

Hat der Rahmen hinten eine Öffnung um den Led Strip an eine externe Stromquelle anzuschliessen?
