Description

👉 NEW Safe V3 Mini 👈

🥳 Safe V2.0 is finally out! Several improvements have been added based on your requests for the previous version!🥳

  • The biggest change is the addition of a lock 🔐! Your safe can finally be safe! You can choose several number combinations according to your preferences 🔐
  • The safe V2.0 version is compatible with the previous version. Parts that remained the same (Use Update print Profile 🔥):
    • 02_Spur_Gear
    • 04_Rack_Gear
    • 05_Frame
    • 08_Hinge
    • 09_Case
    • 10_Screw
    • 11_Pin
  • No Additional Parts Required😎. No complicated setup! This safe doesn't need any bearings, screws, glue or additional purchased parts.
  • Dimensions 140x130x140 mm. Spacious enough for your valuables, yet compact enough to fit anywhere.
  • Include coin slot.

Spacer problem

In some cases it happened that the spacer was too loose. More clearance is added here, for smooth turning of the dial. However, each printer has different clearances, so I recommend increasing the width of the spacer in the slicer. Until then, so that the spacer is not too loose and at the same time the dial can be turned smoothly. (The recommended step of increasing is +0.1 mm)

Almost perfect print, but don't know why the print did the cut in the upper part of the safe. I did another one and it didn't. I'm new to 3D, so maybe it's a question of seam placement? Very great job anyway :)

Update From Previous Safe (0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill)
Fun to print and assemble. II used super glue for more strength. Before printing, I used seam painting to to avoid having the seam on top. And, I trimmed the outer edges of the Rack Gear for a more smooth lock movement.

Awesome design! Really well done, my son loves it! One comment I'd have is the inner layer of the door was a little thin, which resulted in the locker pieces being blocked slightly by the lip. This could be remedied by a little more thickness in the inner door plate.

same here. I added a very small blob of pla in top and bottom of the corner and that fixed that issue.

Same here. Easily fixed my adding some pla (superglued). Would be nice to update the print to solve this.

Great job on this! The only thing I changed was to make (and upload) a new print profile for the combo wheels, because when I printed it in 2 colors on my P1S, the numbers weren't fully formed. Assembled together easily and works great! Edit... I also manually placed the seam on the bottom of the safe.

Fine design. The only problem of the actual design is the spacer for the slice dial which have the tendency to turn and block the mechanism. I think, the anti-turn profile of the slice dial is to small comparative with the axial tolerance of the slice dial cage. Anyway, I solved the problem with a little bit glue. Thank you for sharing.

My spacer also didn't stay in place. I superglued it to the side.

Printed in PLA on a textured bed. The case had a bit of warping, but luckily no functionality was harmed and it still looks ok. There were some adhesion issues with digits, hinges and cogs, so I had to force outer brim on them. Came out perfect. I love the idea, if just for fun, thank you for the fine model.
