Description

Simple holder with compartments for AA and AAA batteries. It requires minimum amount of plastic to print.
I don't like an idea to have different organizers for this two types of battery so I created this design to keep them all in one place. You can also print dividers to separate discharged batteries and to keep them in the same place.

Edit: I would update this to 4-star thanks to helpful author comment below if I could. Really like the design, but tried printing the large version w/ Gridfinity base 3 times and all failed. All 3 times I was also printing other objects on the same plate, and they were all fine. Maybe shrinkage caused one end of the base to curve up and off the plate. Maybe I just got unlucky or there's something about the way this model is made that is causing it to fail? Maybe printing face down would would?

What filament do you use? Long straight parts tend to bend like this overall but PLA is less prone to warping than PETG. Make sure you don't have draft in the room with the printer because temperature changes significantly increase chances of such result. Also you should clean the bed with a soup before printing and also you can turn on inner brim to improve adhesion.

I used PLA for this print. Drafts could be an issue, I'll investigate. Thanks for the helpful tips! I would happily increase my rating above thanks to your helpful response, but Maker World won't allow it because the print wasn't successfully completed.

I started the print in the Bambu handy app and you selected the gridfinity version in the step where you can select the print plate.

Hi, I am having struggles with the quality of the output. I am using Bambulab A1 printer and I printed the design twice however getting layer issues, sinking bottom and a big jump visible lane. Inside of the design also looks badly printed. Any ideas why I may be facing these? I used matte black bambulab filament btw. Thanks!

hard to say. The parts where you have almost no seams or travels look perfect. I assume that something is off with your retraction or flow settings. If you want to experiment, try default settings with the proper calibrated filament profile. But to be honest I would just cut the worst sticking out defects with a blade and wouldn't worry about this since it's pretty functional thing and it's not so important to get a perfect result.
