Sorry, I didn't see this earlier. I tested mine in a saltwater pool so my adjustments are probably too dense for a normal pool. You might want to try 4 walls, 10% infill or try scaling the cap piece to be a few times taller.
Just getting ready to print the propeller plate, and noticed there are two props - one with larger blades, one with smaller. What's the reason for this? Should I only print the small one? thanks!
The larger blades tend to get caught with small leaves and big insects. I would recommend starting with the larger blades and then trying the smaller ones if there is a problem with clogging.
doesn’t float right in pool, keeps tilting to the side. also the fan needs a guard going out from the main case, cause as soon as the water hits the nylon net it touches the fan and stops it
You might want to try pushing the propeller into the motor a bit further. I had the same issue until I pushed the propeller all the way in.
If it keeps tilting over, you might want to try the new print profile. It should be able to float a little better.
I appreciate your design and I am in the process of building one. However, I'm confused as to why you are using a 7.2 volt motor with only 2 D cell batteries which is only 3 volts output?
