Game Rules
Objective
Accumulate the most points by retrieving torpedoes from the pool within a set time limit.
- 10 torpedoes total:
- 5 torpedoes worth 5 points each
- 3 torpedoes worth 10 points each
- 2 torpedoes worth 15 points each
Players
20 torpedoes total:
- 10 torpedoes worth 5 points each
- 6 torpedoes worth 10 points each
- 4 torpedoes worth 15 points each
Setup
- Players start outside the pool.
- All torpedoes are filled with water and thrown into the pool randomly.
- The game is played without goggles to increase the challenge.
Starting Position:
- Players line up outside the pool at a designated starting line.
- When game starts players may jump into the pool.
Retrieving Torpedoes:
- Players dive and swim to collect torpedoes from the pool.
- Only one torpedo can be brought to the surface at a time.
- Players must return each retrieved torpedo to a designated collection point outside the pool before diving for another one.
Scoring:
- Each torpedo has a point value based on its type:
- 5-point torpedoes
- 10-point torpedoes
- 15-point torpedoes
- Points are accumulated based on the torpedoes retrieved and placed in the player’s collection area.
Game Duration:
- The game ends when all torpedoes are retrieved.
Rules of the game:
- No pushing, shoving, or physical interference with other players.
- Players must surface and place the torpedo in their collection area before diving for another.
- Torpedoes must be thrown into the pool randomly at the start of the game, ensuring they are spread out.
Winning the Game:
- The player with the highest total points at the end of the time limit wins.
- In case of a tie, the player who retrieved the highest-value torpedo first wins.
Penalties
- Any player caught pushing or interfering with another player will have 5 points deducted from their score.
- If a player is found to have broken any other rules (e.g., holding more than one torpedo at a time), they must return the torpedo to the pool and start over.
Variations
Team Play:
- Players can form teams of two.
- Points are accumulated as a team, and the team with the most points wins.
Relay Race:
- Players are divided into teams.
- Each team member must retrieve one torpedo before the next team member can dive.
- The first team to retrieve a set number of torpedoes wins.
Blind Dive:
- Players must keep their eyes closed while diving, relying on touch to find and retrieve torpedoes.
- An additional challenge for more experienced players.
