Description

A1 & A1 Mini PTFE Support & Removal

Anyone with an A1 or A1 Mini knows how hard it is to remove the PTFE - here’s your solution - and it keeps everything aligned! Two for one!

Thank you so much for your Downloads, Like and BOOSTS!

AMS lite feed errors can happen a lot when the PTFE tubes are leaving the hub at an angle.  This support keeps those tubes alligned providing a smooth path for your filament entering or exiting the Filament Hub.  I also added the ability to remove your PTFE tubes by pushing down on the support.

  • Simple install, easy slide over AMS lite Hub
  • The perfect PTFE Support that resolves most AMS lite FEED & RETRACTION errors.
  • Push down… Built-in ability to remove one or all PTFE tubes from the AMS lite hub.
  • FYI: Found the best color match to the A1 chassis color is Bambu PLA Light Grey (Affiliate Link)
  • Look below for NEW add-on - HUB ARMOR

Profile Options:

  • Single Color Print (X1/P1/A1)
  • Multi-Color (My Favorite)
  • Multi-Color with Painted Logo

NEW MODEL - Anyone with an A1 or A1 Mini knows how the AMS lite Hub/Buffer on top of the extruder can flex and even break due to over stress - here’s your solution!

 HUB ARMOR!

Prints fast and works exactly as it should, I found other PTFE Tools for the AMS Lite as hard to use as just pressing the collars with my fingernail.

Now if this was adapted to add an extra PTFE Tube feed into one of the 4 existing entries for rthe External Filament Reel…. that would take it up a second notch (Although then you’d rarely need the “Removal” function.)

I would also test a version with a fifth hole for the external spool. I will try with a Y-adapter. In the beginning, i had some issues with some old filament and had to work "a lot" on the print head of my A1 (and so removing the tubes was a pain), but since then there was not much need for changing the PTFE tubes besides rarely printing filaments from the external spool that don't work with the AMS (light) like TPU.

great print. is there a way to connect a 5th tube to this? for the external spool?

I've seen some inline Y connections, I would like to model a version with something like that built in.

that would be awesome if that would also be available with an external tube connector!

@K2_Kevin thanks, I added the print profile for the modified thing and I also added a cap. Maybe someone else has the same problem like me, that the AMS can not be constantly mounted at the printer due to space reasons.

I can't find the print profile for the cap you made, I really like it... Thanks.
