Description

Tried to make a exact replica of the NES game cartridge and at the same time find some space to put my switch games.

I separated the risers/spacers/thingamajigs to be able to print without supports and get the same surface finish as the rest of the print. They need to be glued in place after printing

Other hardware you´ll need is 2 x M3 13-20mm screws and 2 x 8x3 magnets.

Also added a sleeve for that extra retro nintendioan feeling :P

Easiest way to remove the games is to push on the far left of the game with your thumb an pull with your index finger. letting the game pivot around the base of the holder.

Printed without support with eSun PLA+

Happy printing :)

This came out awesome, I think there should be a better way than just gluing the small part, maybe a way to have it slide into place? Also, the holes didn't quite line up for the m3 screw and It happened on both for me. Could use a little tweak I think. Either way, I made it work with drilling with a small bit. I'm till rating well cuz its still awesome,, especially after adding a label 😁. The games are little tough to get in and out but seem to have loosened up a bit over time.

Wow, looks awesome with the label! Thank you for the feedback! Printed it a few times during testning and did not have the alignement problems you mentioned, but I will have a look at it. or maybe its time for a V2?!

broke twice, hinges aren’t very strong and one side had smaller holes then the other so the screws didn’t go in and ended up cracking so I had to remake it again. everything else is fine but the hinges where the screws go need to be stronger. you’ll definitely have to modify this thing if you’re going to make it.

Yes, the holes in the hinge of the backpiece are smaller by design, you use the screw as a tap so you can use whatever screw you got, salong as it is the same diameter as a m3. The tolerances are quite tight to accommodate everyone and may need to be drilled out depending on how well calibrated your printer is.
