Description

This is a 9x 19MM Luger Cut Away, model. I suggest using supports for the case piece, and the Primer Anvil. The Plates in the 3MF are labeled for which need supports. You will see two versions of projectile. One Jacket and Core is for a 147 grain JHP, the other, is for a 115 grain RNCP. The bullets are made as copper-plated projectiles with a concave base. These are accurate for those style of projectiles.

 

Assembly is easy, reference pictures for assembly:

  1. Glue Primer compound into the primer cup
  2. Glue Gunpowder into Case( noticed orientation as the top side of the gunpowder is textured, the bottom is smooth)
  3. Insert/Glue Primer Cup into the Case.
  4. Insert/Glue Primer Anvil into place
  5. Glue Lead Core into Jacket
  6. Glue Projectile assembly into the Case.

*Superglue. Don't cheap out. the stuff you get from groceries stores and retail stores is junk. Invest in some quality Hobby grade CA glue, Medium is my favorite. You'll be real upset if you get this all assembled and your entire model interior is hazed white from the glue off-gassing as it cures…..ask me how I know. LOL

 

  • CC3D PLA Silk- Bronze/ Brass(Case)
  • CC3D PLA Silk-Silver( Lead Core) Grey PLA could be used for this, too
  • SunLu PLA - Red (Primer Compound) Any color can be used
  • Giantarm PLA Matte- Dark Grey ( Bullet Core)
  • CC3D PLA Silk- Gold/Copper(Bullet Jacket)
  • Creality/Giantarm-PLA-Black or Dark Grey( Gunpowder)

Prints well, has a few struggles with the overhangs but visually comes out great!

Yet another great model by the designer. Great for firearms enthusiast or firearms safety course instructors. Very well designed, parts fit together with precision. Great instructions on proper assembly. I printed both versions of this model, with the filaments listed below. Many thanks to the designer for sharing his work.
