Garmin out front mount for a BLKTEC R8 handlebar. Designed for the Edge 830.
May work with other handle bars with 20mm pitch bolts on the underside of the bars for out front mounts.
I found most of the other out front mount designs were too thin and ended up shaking a lot on the bike so designed a new thicker mount.
It requires a Garmin insert which attaches with 2 small bolts on the underside. These can be removed from an existing Garmin clamp on out front mount or search for “Garmin mount insert” on Amazon or Ebay.
I haven't tried it but I assume it should work for Wahoo as well, though obviously won't have the aero integrated profile.
I've printed mine in PLA, 0.12 layer height, 3 wall loops, 5 shells top and bottom, 30% cubic infill.
Support - normal, 5deg threshold angle.
This worked well for me and is very stable on the bike. May be better in Nylon or ASA for better outdoor properties but I haven't tried that.
Can be printed either way up depending on what finish you want on the top surface but I found it printed best with the top surface on the print bed.
I added a couple of pauses to change the material to add the gold strip to match my Orro Gold :-)
When I get time I will make some variants with different hole pitches, and lengths for other bike computers like the Edge 1030.
