Hello fans and friends of the Lightsaber,

After much research,

I have now provided my construction of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Lightsaber from "A New Hope".
I hope I can make one or two people happy with this!

...if you want you can increase the weight of the lightsaber with an 8mm threaded rod (24cm long) and a few 8mm nuts!

...and if you like it, I would be happy about a like!
Believe me, there is a lot of work involved.

Very nice design and prints extremelyt well. All parts fitted with no fettling. (But I do calibrate everything including skew etc.) One odd bit - the black spacer that holds the optional 6mm bolt is not mentioned or shown at all in the instructions and the thread on the black handle has no matching threaded piece for so no idea why it has a thread. Printed with : Silver - Giantarm Silver Silk PLA Copper - Bambu Copper Silk PLA Dark Silver - Ziro Silver PETG Blue - MKOEM Blue Silk PLA Black - Bambu PLA-CF

I'm not the designer but I think the thread is because the original parts that were used to make the lightsaber are just pieces of existing hardware and this model is made very realistic :) That's why there is "Graflex" on the side for example. The black bolt part goes in the back just before the cap (you can just see it in the exploded view of the model)

actually this is a REMIX of the files that were available on thingiverse a few years ago. the parts are identical to those. I have printed that one. its pretty slimey to pass this off as his creation when its clearly not

Turned out amazing. had a few minor issues with some of the small parts not sticking to the bed but fixed those with a brim when reprinting. Also threaded piece broke at the head when screwing in but that’s because I didn’t have a tap. (What size thread is it by the way). Still I’m super impressed and currently printing the stand 🙂

Thanks but not the rod for weight. I’m talking about the tap you used for the lever screw on the side near the transparent piece as in this pic

Freut mich dass es Dir gefällt! 😉 Ja die Anleitungen sind leider manchmal echt eine Qual. Ich sitze gerade an der Anleitung für das Obi-Wan Lichtschwert mit Kristall Kammer!!! 🙈🥴 Das hält wahnsinnig auf aber hilft nachher auf jeden Fall beim Zusammenbau. 👌

perfection. love the attention to detail, I went with the bronze for the sink nob but I love that you have it in blue! also I went with one color of silver cause that's all I have currently. thanks!
