Description

Great starting point for the M41A pulse rifle from aliens.

Split model down into component parts and split sub components again for colourising.

Needed to create cut-outs to allow easy assembly of parts though glue still required!.

I split the studs on the top part onto another plate to - allow quicker printing and they are more solid looking.

As it was a more visual design - I had to solidify some things to get them to bond together.

The LED counter was designed by me in Fusion for added effect.

The trigger part slides in from the left of the top body.
The round knob on the top of the trigger part is held by a small inside piece - don't be surprised it it comes loose - just glue it into the right hand side as I did
The extendable stock - i added a cut out in Bambu slicer to allow it to enter more easily - for me I just trimmed off part of the extension piece and it went in far enough just fine.

Good detail and I looked forward to building it until I got to the trigger component print. Could barely fit a finger in there and I realised it wasn’t too scale nor was its size mentioned anywhere in your notes. I abandoned the print. Might revisit it later when I could be bothered sizing the components to actual size. Nice model though.

Yeah it is a model of the rifle - I will try to add that - The photo of it on the AMS gave it an idea of scale and yes it can upscale to a larger size

170% scale should be 1:1. obviously it can't be printed on P1S or X1C. I may print on my Kobra max.

Its not 1/1 scale. Has to be scaled up.

170% seems to be about the correct scaling for 1:1. At least as far as the Trigger and trigger guard distance to finger and total trigger opening hole. i measured all my rifles and handguns and 30mm from inside front guard to front side trigger seems to be about the normal. Opening size varies from 40mm from my XD9mm to 80mm on my AR15. With that said. lower receiver can be printed at 155% , but the main top not at all. At least on PS1. I could print this on my Kobra Max for sure.
