I can't find a PTFE connector that fits my need. Most of them are too thick, too heavy, especially the ones that require a PC4-M10, they are so heavy that it changes how the PTFE tube bending.
I want a PTFE connector that's light weight, won't change how the PTFE tube bends, easy to insert and eject.
So i made my own PTFE tube connector and share with you. I use it for my dry box, it's working great!
Hightlights:
- it's only 0.63g, it's very light, it won't affect the PTFE tube bending shape.
- there is a bump on both inside and outside of the connector, the outside bump helps the tube insert and eject.
- I print it with PETG 0.2mm standard, no support, no brim. PLA should work fine too.
- if it is too small or too big for your PTFE tube, scale the connector to fit your size, try 0.25% increment.
There really is no point of using connector with PC4-M10, waste of money and over complicated design. I like simple design that gets the job done. This little connector is very useful, I print many of them and use them for my drybox, i can load and unload filament very quickly.
