Description

Here is a Spool Holder for the Skadis Pegboard from Ikea. I'm working on a small one for the mini spools.

((YOU NEED TO PRINT THIS WITH PETG)) You can print it with PLA, but PLA can breaks very easily

If you like my work and want to thanks me, buy me a coffe. :)

Wouldn’t use again, the print is fine but the fit into the Skadis is very loose — too loose for weight to grab. Printed in PETG-CF for strength but the issue is the hooks are not tight enough. Wanted to use to feed TPU but will find a different holder. Prints fine looks good, but not a great fit for my boards.

That is really strange. The reason why I don’t recommend PLA it’s because it’s really tight and you can break it. but you do it on PETG, so it can be 2 things by any chance, do you break the little legs removing the supports? or do you adjust the size by mistake? I was looking the 2 pictures I can see that maybe one or two of little 4 “legs” are not good.

I’m going to give it a go again with normal PETG. I think filament shrinkage may be in play and a small ‘knub’ of arms could help for different stuff. 2-stars only reflects personal usage success and not quality of print!

printed nicely however broke the moment I attached it to my skadis pegboard (before I even got a chance to put a spool on it)... might try to print it in PETG next time

I forgot to put it in the description, im sorry, but def you need to print this on PETG. PLA breaks very easily. I made mine with PLA and they are fine, but, PLA is bad for stuff like this

Thanks for the update! I've uploaded another profile, and with this orientation we have more support (which spans-off super clean so not an issue) but the print is few minutes faster (due to the increased layer height) and model i super strong even when using PLA

PLA - works as expected, slid down slow but locked into place just fine. No issues nice and tight / perfect fit. Thank you for the model!

That’s good to know. I still have the first ones that i made of my model and I made them with PLA too. I recommend always to other people to print this model with PETG because they was not having the same luck as us. Thanks for the photos😁

design is great. concept is perfect but I wouldn’t suggest printing with PLA. use something stronger. PETG might be good. the hooks snapped off on 2 of them before I could put a roll on and I removed the third one I had in advance of it falling off the wall.

Yeah that’s why I write that on the description, PLA is very fragile and can break very easy. PETG is perfect for this model

Strength Issue:Sorry but not a good model. I printed it in PETG but it broke almost immediately. The four legs should be thicker and longer. A modifier making them higher infill might also help.

Used PETG Black for the file and the supports. Was easy to snap off fits the Skadis perfectly.

Printed well only problem is it was slightly to big for my peg board and the supports where a bit fiddly to get off but over all very good.

I would print this Model with 0.3 layer height and 40% Infill. :)
