UPDATE:

I have adjusted the tolerances on the insert and frame to allow the frame and/or insert to be printed with the same color filament as the strings. Previously if you printed the strings as the same color as the insert or frame the strings would try to attach to the walls of the frame/insert rather than go inside for a better anchor point, potentially leading to failures. This update fixes that issue, and you should now be able to print this in ANY color combination you prefer.

Happy Easter String Art

0.4mm Nozzle

0.2mm Layer Height

Must print with Arachne Mode

Resize this model at your own risk – changing the scale will affect how the strings print and could lead to failures.

This model was designed to be small enough to print on the A1 Mini as well as the X1 and P1 series.

I keep trying to print this, but it only seems to keep a few of the "strings" after I slice. I have a P1S with a .4 nozzle, tried 3-4 different print settings. Any ideas or suggestions?

Printed great! Anyone ever scaled it up? Would it mess up the strings if you did? I'm willing to try but if anyone knows if it would work, it might save me some time and filament. Thanks

scaling will change the strings. if you only scale on the X and Y, it *might* be okay. I would check in the slicer to see if the string layers look alright. one thing that would worry me is if the strings are more than one extrusion wide, there's a chance the nozzle would catch on the previous portion of the string. as a test, you could always scale up and print a few layers before and after a string section. like a 1.5mm slice 🤷‍♂️

New here, why does it show 4 colors, including green, when there are only 3 please?
