Happy Holidays!
This is an Easter themed coin. Double sided. One side has the Easter lily logo, and the other side has the bunny in an Easter egg.
30.8mm*30.8mm*2.4mm
I used PLA-Silk Gold and PLA-Silk Silver.Any PLA is easy to print.
PETG need to strengthen first layer adhesion.
1 piece:12 minutes
4 pieces per plate (print-by-object) : 28 minutes
I insist that a coin should have two sides. But printing double-sided coins is indeed a bit difficult, because the depressions on the reverse side inevitably create bridges. In order to improve the print quality without using any additional supports, I adjusted the pattern several times so that it supported the bridge better.
So, be sure to keep the bunny face down (default print setting).
Adjust the "bridge flow" according to the properties of the filament you are using. For example, I use PLA silk, setting 1.2 works well.
If you are a perfectionist, try the second plate! Print in two halves, no bridging layer, just need glue to bond. But please note that the thickness of each half is only 1.2mm, If you remove it immediately after printing, it may deform, causing gaps in the bonding. Wait until the temperature of the plate drops before removing it.
