Description

Simple cage for mobile photography or videography. You will need to provide a phone holder. all holes are threaded with 1/4 20 or 3/8 16 threads. Good for mobiles or small mirrorless cameras.

See my other print «Phone Cage NATO handle» for a simple, compatible handle to fit the cage.

I had to cut it because unfortunately I only have an A1 mini, but I managed to print it effectively, I loaded the print profile for the A1 mini in case someone else wanted to print it, now it just needs a comfortable handle, I see what I can study

This is a great cage! I printed it for a shoot I was doing over the weekend. Also printed OP's handle, as well as a phone tripod mount, and designed and printed a holder for a battery pack and Samsung T7 SSD. I think my only complaint is that it has a bit of flex to it (in PLA) at the cold shoes, since the frame is much thinner there. Some diagonal reinforcement could give the cage some more rigidity. Not really a big concern, but something I noticed.

good printer profile. The supports were very easy to remove.

I just printed the cage after seeing the Bambu A1 video (congrats!) and it's great! Do you have any corresponding handles that slide on like in the video? I found some other handles that can be screwed on but I figured I'd ask the creator if he knew of anything available.. @plucbernier

hi! thanks! I’ve used real NATO handles from Smallrig, but the ones in the video seem to be really nice and much lighter weight than aluminum. unfortunately I couldn’t find them so I might design some myself.

I found these handles with finger grips that worked perfectly.. I just had to increase the size to 103% to get the holes to line up. I did some color painting in Bambu Studio to make the grips a different color, but they are all one piece. Recommended! https://thangs.com/designer/TheBuildBay/3d-model/Side%20Handles%20for%20SmallRig%20%26%20Neewer%20Camera%20Rigs%20%26%20Cages-74834

Printed great in Sunlu PETG. Need to print Handles now. Looks good so far. Clean up of supports is easy. They just peeled right off.
