Description

This is a super easy and simple print to be able to filter the air leaving the chamber. I wanted to use some accessible hepa filters that I found on Amazon to filter the air exiting the chamber. It uses 6x3 mm magnets on Amazon also and holds perfectly. The filter just presses in and seals with the exterior foam seal. Keep the filter just flush with the back of the filter housing so there is a gap between the back panel of the printer and the face of the filter. It doesn't seem to affet chamber temperatures at all of PLA and PETG, not sure about others.

Printed in PLA but it has worked perfectly for 2 months now, magnet holes where a bit small but still worked out in the end. This is also one of the only models that uses a full HEPA 13 filter instead of the lesser quality epa12 or less vacuum cleaner filters that won’t completely filter out all the ultrafine particles 0.1-2.5. great model and effective filter choice imo

I initially had a bed adhesion issue with the cool plate. but ended up successfully, completing the print using my textured PEI. This is a very nice design. Sorry about the three stars Bambu wouldn’t let me provide more, because it didn’t register my last successful print.

very clean and simple solution to this. plus it muffles the exhaust sound!

can this be printed in PLA? I don't have anything more heat resistant.

I’m curious about this too

It shouldn't hurt anything. It's not in a temperature sensitive area. It won't be exposed to any major heat in that area.

Printed great, no issues! I did add 1 wall and changed infill to gyroid but that was just personal preference. Still waiting on my air filters to come in but it mounted to the printer smoothly!

I printed this and the print was easy and came out great, however the magnets are very strong and it slide down making contact with the power switch, which allows 10% of the exhaust fan to be covered.
