Description

I wanted a compact Missile Turret style pencil holder that fit in a 2x2 Gridfinity space. I ended up creating this model in 3 pieces. Holds 12 pens/pencils.

***I have added a couple options for larger slides. The 4.25 option is the original. The 4.66 option has a lot less play. The 5 option should have little to no play, but on some printers may not fit at all. Please print out the Test_Slides first to determine which works best for you before printing the full models.***

Base: 78.71mm long, 78.71mm wide, 61.5mm tall
Turrets: 54.55mm long, 32mm wide, 61.67mm tall
Overall Assembled: 78.71mm long, 78.71mm wide, 95.96mm tall
Pen holes: 12mm wide (holds standard Sharpies)

It printed perfectly, and everything fit. I printed some black panels just to break up the color. I took it to work, and now I have to make another one for someone else.

Love it! Printed great! Would like to see a larger to accommodate more pen styles, I’m not quite ready to try changing scale myself yet.

came out looking fantastic. might have to put some tape between the sliders of the parts. since they are very loose on mine. but besides that a great print

the print settings were fine and the model is nice, but the dovetails that are used to join the missile batteries to the mount were loose. perhaps improving to a tapered dovetail would improve that fit? I needed to hot glue the joint for it to be secure. still very cool!

Fun Design. I had pencils and markers all over the place. Great way to organize them and lets face it, who doesn't want a missile Lauchner on their desk. Printed the base in Matte Black and the turrets in Matte Dark Green to give it a military vibe. It's a little wobbly in my gridfinity base, but that just could be the type of base I decided to go with. Great Job.
