Description

I wanted to use the fan of my mini heater to filter some bad fume inside my printer

I used the bento box for the HEPA filter and then remix it with the mini heater rack and shield!!!!

note you need the shield on the bottom with my bento heater

I also used the aux fan cover that use same HEPA filter

AUX fan cooling guide

bottom shield

Fan cover with Filter

I also used the DS2 door seal

with all these mods I keep the temp inside my printer at 51c when I print ASA or ABS

all the parts are printed in ASA or ABS

HEPA filter 10 pack

6 ft 90 degree angled power AC

Mini heater

m3 screws

6mmx2mm magnet

I work on a way to control my inside temp with a thermostat but this will be in the future

I also bought a wi-fi Power bar to power ON or OFF my heater and my added L.E.D. when I'm not near the printer

does the aux fan filter restrict any of the cooling capabilities of the fan

The auxiliary fan filter is intentionally installed to reduce airflow when printing with PLA. I've noticed that for larger PLA projects, I need to lower the auxiliary fan speed to prevent the printed piece from detaching from the build plate. Since I primarily print with ABS or Nylon on my X1C, the auxiliary fan is usually off in those cases. I mainly use it to circulate warm air from the mini heater during the preheating process

where do you route the power cable to the heater?

I have a lid riser with a LED strip and I have put a hole in the same place where the LED strip take it's power

Nice work. I might have to give this and the Hepa filter mod that @jf.marinaoka did.
