Description

 

Excited to introduce the third version of the toothpaste stand.

 

Over the years, my skills have grown, and the print quality has improved. Modern printers are much more precise and allow for printing non-disassembled designs with movable parts. As a result, after several prototypes, I've created a fully functional stand that prints in one go and requires no supports.

 

In this version, I fixed the errors from the previous one and, upon numerous requests, added a gear mechanism to prevent the toothpaste from rolling back.

 

There are many similar stands out there, but I settled on this one for several reasons. Perhaps the main one is the ability to always place the toothpaste vertically. It takes up less space and is much more convenient to use.

 

With the gear mechanism, the toothpaste is always neatly tightened, allowing it to stand upright without leaning.

I printed several of these stands in PLA Matte plastic, and the result turned out very good.

 

Please note that there are two variants of the wand and you can choose which variant you prefer.

 

It turns out that a lot of people don't know how to properly tuck toothpaste into a toothpaste holder. Here are some photos that clearly show it.

Any way you could redesign to be a little bit wider? We use 170ml toothpaste tubes from Costco and the tend to get caught on one side or the other.

I didn't like that it didn't squeeze all of the toothpaste out, so I added a negative cube in bambu studio. it works great! I also did 100% infil because the 1st one seemed weak. I printed one in PETG the other with esun abs+ and it's solid!

This project is more like a stand than a paste squeezer) the fact is that I printed a lot of prototypes and I also did such an option as yours. But in this case, a large tube of paste does not stand vertically but will fall on its side. That's why I decided to squeeze out the last drop with my finger) but my toothpaste always stands vertically, which I really like and adds convenience to use.

oh it doesn't push out all the toothpaste when the tube it's nearly empty. but apart from that it's doing a good job :)

The original idea was that any toothpaste could stand upright and not fall. Squeezing is already a side effect. And this rating is also intended for the print profile. and not for the overall evaluation of the project. Since there can be many profiles, people can focus on the assessment to understand which profile will print better. Although it doesn't affect anything for me personally. I just decided to tell you this. Thank you for your feedback.

I freaking love this thing. I don't know why but I'm obsessed with finding the perfect toothpaste holder. I've printed maybe up to 6 different versions and I really liked your previous version the most until I saw this one this morning! I sent it to my P1S while I was at work and I'm so happy you made this! This addresses the only gripe I had with the last version! I love it! Thanks!

(improved strengt) 0.16mm layer, 2 walls, 10% infill
Looks good and plenty strong but I printed it in PETG-CF which seems to have fused the lock mechanism so currently printing again in standard PLA

this profile is optimized and was tested with PLA from BambuLab if you use other filament you can maybe experience issues so please stick to PLA and tell me how it worked out with PLA

the 2 parts yes, stringy at the bottom at the little holes but my filament isnt calibrated I assume, could be the reason
