Description

This rugged-style heart box is perfect for Valentine's Day!

Use as a fun candy dish or fill with treats to give to your valentine. There are 4 different lid styles: Plain, “Be Mine” “Kiss Me” and “I Love You!”

The text on each lid is a seperate inlay that friction-fits into the lid. No AMS needed to create a custom 2-color lid. Add a touch of glue if desired on the inlay if it feels loose.

I also added an optional removable tray with dividers and an “I L U” message on the bottom.

Note: You will need (6) M3x30 screws for assembly, round or cap head.

awesome project and super cool idea. my suggestion is to change the profile to use gyroid infill. I have a machine that has nozzle strikes when printing grid infill. like many others do. I included two bottom hearts. the red printed with grid and the purple with gyroid. you can very clearly see the purple is a much better print. no big deal on the red as I’ll print the insert tray and cover all that nastiness up.

I’ve never had an issue with grid, but I can understand where gyroid might work better universally. I’ll check it out. thanks.

this printed perfectly. the designer even made me custom lid saying “kiss me” when I asked him to. Quality is great and i couldn’t be happier.

It was hard to find the perfect hardware. I looked for days for a M3x30 that only had 5mm of threads at the end. I ended up using fully threaded bolts. This prints nicely. I printed the wording twice, but it slightly warps during cooling and doesn’t quite fit. Once glued, you can’t tell. I look forward to printing other stuff this maker has posted.

I was hoping to find those too, but settled on round cap bolts. I am going to test some plastic printed pins that might work in place of metal hardware. It wouldn't be as durable of course, but these are gift boxes, not water-tight functional boxes that have to hold up to repeated use.

Hello, great prints! We print lots of the rugged type boxes, so need plenty of the various metric screws with 3x30mm being the most common. We buy all from AliExpress.com because the products are good and a fraction of the cost on Amazon. I usually receive my orders in 7-10 days, so plan for that. Just my 2 cents worth, but I hope it helps you.

getting the words inlayed is a bit tricky but a really nice print.
