Description

A quick modification of @brendan.m.bone 's self centering AMS roller.

 

This remix breaks the roller in half, and adds slots for pins to be used, to aid in assembly.

This is an improvement over the original design, as it required you to print two lateral halves and glue together, which may result in a not-so-round roller.

 

Simply print as shown, and insert the pins into the top and bottom of one roller, and then insert the second roller into the first, and top with the 3rd pin, then assemble for the AMS as per the original model.

Profile prints well. However, it's a good idea, but doesn't quite work well in practice. The center pin is too long as designed and subsequently the two halves don't sit flush with each other. This creates a weak point and and causes them to break easily, glue could kind of fix this but not well. It would benefit from a larger center pin. Not sure how the bearings fitting would go because I never got that far.

Fits nice. Had to cut one pin for the fit in the middle.
