Description

I modelled and printed some pikmin characters and used them to show the difference between resin, FDM and multi material printing.

For more info on how I printed them you can watch this video:

Nearly perfect print using AMS Lite. I tried to save some time by lowering the flush volume between black and yellow and ended up with a slight color cast around the head at eye level.

I have found that sometimes that is not a problem of flushing out the old color, but the infill showing through. Adding more wall layers will hide that banding. Default is 2, but 3 or 4 would be better.

Took me hours to paint this little guys, but I’m so happy with the result! Stuck them to a planter so they can stand properly. Only downside are those feet, they snap off so easily, (every single foot snapped off in this print).

pretty good model, but red Pikmin here lost 3 of his limbs

Very nice model, I'd advice snipping the supports around legs as I broke one off when removing the support.

I really do like this print, but the supports are almost impossible to remove. Every character lost a foot, an arm or a leaf. Fun print but super fragile.
