Description

Summary

This is a toy pistol designed for kids play, it can be take apart easily by a small tool hide in the pistol grip, have fun in assembling and disassembling, and also you can shoot if you put suitable springs in it.

The material setting and springs' size is on the image, also the assembly instruction, look it backward:)

All parts could be printed in PLA&TPU, besides 4 springs. some parts need sanding to make it function well.

The barrel's diameter is 13 mm to compatible with NERF's bullets, I'm not sure because I don't have a NERF's bullet :)

enjoy it!

I update a new version of this toy pistol, it takes me a long time and huge energy to improve it, if you like it, you could buy it at:

How I Designed This

I have wanted a pistol of my own since I was a little boy. Now I have a 3D print machine and experience in product design to help me to make it successfully.

You can also design accessories based on the picatinny rail to make it more fun.

The first part of the model has errors in it. The support is not properly set (trying to print parts mid air), and the back part looks good in the preview, but when sliced floats in mid air with a part missing. Not sure if it is an error, but the whole first parts edges are printing in the air, since the internal parts are a little taller than the outer edge. Hope the issues will get fixed, as the model looks amazing!

You're right, there were some issues. I've uploaded a new model. Check it out. Btw, you can skip plate 1 and 2 completely. They are sort of kit card variations.

Submitting the assignment, the assembly drawing provided is very detailed. It's made of PETG material. The spring I bought wasn't included, so I bought one based on an online image, but it was shorter. You must buy it according to the size provided by the author.

I'm amazed by this mechanical structure. Could you tell me which software is typically used for this kind of design?

Should I add supports or print without supports?

Automatic support is sufficient

my rating was removed but I stand by it so I’ll add it as a comment. This print is mid and is one of the very few ones that I’ve printed directly from here that constantly failed. It needed supports and they weren’t part of the profile.
