Description

I am pretty sure you were waiting for it: a spiral fidget toy… which looks as an Easter egg !!

Feel free to adjust the colors to your preferences.

Interior must be printed with variable layer height for better result.

Exterior must be printed with supports otherwise it is too weak and it may unstick from the bed when all parts are linked together (layer 82)

Even if it is possible to print it in place, based on previous advices, it has no interest to do so: you will only waste some material.

The profile prints it at 75% scale. It is quite similar to a real egg size.

If you find it nice, consider boosting, and promoting it in the contest !

Thanks, happy printing !

Tolerance issues and imperfections in the print despite supports, what a shame… in PETG

Based on your photo, the layers aren't adhering well… This isn't due to the profile or the provided model, but rather to incorrect filament profile settings. Such layer separation is abnormal. Try increasing the temperature for better results

Well, I still can't print this model correctly on my A1 I've tried increasing the temperature for PETG to the filament manufacturer's maximum with no difference I've tried PLA with the same result Some layers are delaminating slightly less, admittedly and most importantly, I can't get them to adhere properly

First of all thank you! For the external part of the print I added some extra brim and some manual tree support in order to have more adhesion to the plate, some of my initial prints failed because of this. A1mini is the printer I used

Printed nicely and it's super fun to play with! Bonus gnarly support structure if you carefully break it off.

It is a little tight in the reverse direction.

if you push it several times, for the six possible orientations, it will work smoothly then 😉
