DIY Shoe Rack – a very modular connector system 🏠👟

Build your own sturdy and modular shoe rack with these smart 3D-printed connectors! Designed to work with 18 mm wooden boards, allowing you to customize the size and layout to fit your space perfectly.

Materials & Dimensions

📏 Board sizes:
The size of the boards depends entirely on the space where the rack will be placed. You can adjust the length and number of shelves as needed.

For reference, in my build:

  • Long boards: 1300 × 300 mm
  • Short boards: 150 × 300 mm

📐 Example build: Adjust the total dimensions to fit your space.

3D Printing:

🖨️ Recommended print settings

  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • 2 walls minimum
  • Infill: 15%
  • Material: PETG, ABS, or PLA

The number of parts you need to print depends entirely on the size of your shoe rack. Simply plan your build, determine how many connectors are required, and print accordingly. Whether you’re making a small rack or a full big size unit, you can customize it to fit your space!
