This is the DumpSpool —a sustainable poop chute built from a discarded cardboard filament spool and a 3D printed component or two. It’s designed to attach to your 3D printer’s purge chute and catch filament poop, boogers, and the occasional spaghetti monster fragment. It turns waste into… a place for waste.

🛠️ What You’ll Need

• 1x Bambu Lab cardboard spool core
• 1x M3x8 screw (self-tapping preferred)
• ~ 25 - 35g of filament (optional backboard)

🔩 Instructions

1. Replace the bottom screw with a BT3x8 SHCS Self Tapping Screw or similar

   

2. Assemble your DumpSpool

   

3. Slide your DumpSpool mount over the screw

   

4. Let gravity do its thing!

   

💡 Notes

• Fits Bambu Lab cardboard spool cores (not tested with others)
• No supports needed unless using the backboard
• Lightweight, compact, and way less filament than most buckets or bins out there
• Don't make it too tight, it should slide on and off with a little force but not too much
