Bring nature closer with this clever 3D-printed bird feeder, designed to house an Amazon Blink Wi-Fi camera! Every time a feathered friend stops by for a snack, your camera captures a photo and records a video — automatically! Perfect for bird lovers who want to keep an eye on their garden visitors from anywhere.

The design features a convenient top lid with a handle, making refills quick and mess-free. Printing is super simple—no supports required! Just make sure to use weather-resistant materials for outdoor use. I printed the main structure in PETG HF for durability, and used translucent PETG for the CamMount and BackWindow so you can peek inside and see when seeds are running low 🌱.

The camera I'm using is an Amazon Blink Outdoor v3, but it would work with the v4 too. If you have a different cam just tell me what kind of exact cam you have and I would like to create the specific mount.

Assembly is a breeze thanks to a perfectly interlocking design. Just make sure to choose your installation method before putting it together — it’ll make the process even easier:

  • Placing it on a flat surface? Seal the bottom and back holes with tape or bolts.
  • Mounting it on a pole? Use 4x M4x12mm screws and nuts to secure it underneath, and don’t forget to close the two back holes.
  • Hanging it on a wall or fence? Use two countersunk wood or wall screws in the rear holes, and seal the four holes at the bottom.

Final assembly steps:

  1. Insert the Blink camera from the back into the CamMount (important!).
  2. Slide the CamMount and BackWindow into the base. (if you don't want to use a cam print instead the FrontWindow and slide it)
  3. Snap the roof onto the top of the base.
  4. Insert the pedestal into its slots.
  5. Attach the handle to the roof lid using 2x M3x6mm screws.

That’s it! Open the lid, fill it with your favorite birdseed mix, place it in your garden, and get ready to meet your new feathered neighbors 🐤💚

Yes that's possibile! There are two holes on the back to hang it, just use fasteners like these on them.

Thank you very much!... This is my first time using PETG HF... Are there many differences from standard PETG?

Nope, it's even better than classic PETG, simpler to print and usually without issues. Let me know!

I'm about to search for a squirrel baffle! Good to know that the pole mount is sturdy, though.

This project is just wonderful, I love it! For those who may be interested, I have created a simple clamp to be able to attach this magnificent model to some balconies or in any other situation where a clamp is needed. https://makerworld.com/it/models/1255987

I tested a new filament: Bambu PETG HF in blue – the white filament is Elegoo Rapid PETG. Unfortunately, the Bambu PETG stuck extremely tight to the PEI plate and now there's a small hole on the front side. Other than that, the print went absolutely smooth and it turned out great. I mounted it with a screw on an old tree stump and within minutes the first visitors had already arrived.

I printed it up using PETG-came out perfectly, goes together flawlessly. for anyone wondering, the Blink 4 fits fine. Initial feedback: make sure the pole-mount screws have 12+mm of thread, not overall length (I got screws at Lowe's) and I'm a little concerned about waterlogged seeds...maybe drainage channels running to holes under the perch?

made some edits like: - added gentle drain slope and slit - raised 40mm for aesthetics and capacity - added magnetic vertical surface mount with slides, for easy refills. - added divit for solar panel cable essentially only the lid and handle are unmodified. printed it all with PETG and stuck a Blink 4 I it. working on automatic species recognition using HA and Frigate, while waiting on first customer.

Great print! new blink 4s make view a little off with camera to the right of feeder. Only thing I would change would be the top feeder cover door. needs to be deeper/longer so it doesn’t blow out of slot.
