Description

What's inside the egg???

Here's a fun little model of the Easter Bunny pretending to be a baby chick as he drives an Easter Egg mecha.

Model has been separated onto four plates to minimize waste:

  1. A multi-color Easter Bunny
  2. Two-piece egg
  3. Chicken legs
  4. Seat

The bunny has been created in part by combining parts from multiple PrintMon models and requires an AMS if you want multiple colors.  It prints with tree supports.  The other three plates are each quick, single-color prints with minimal, easy to remove support.

Assembly is pretty easy after supports are removed:

  1. Put the chicken legs through the holes on the bottom of the egg
  2. Attach the top of the legs to the holes in the base of the seat
  3. Attach the Easter Bunny to the posts on the seat
  4. Attach top of egg to bottom of egg (optional)

It is a tight fit but it should come together nicely.  Please be cautious during assembly so as to avoid breaking off the steering wheel column, as it should barely fit inside the egg.

Enjoy, and happy Easter!

I have tried this print half a dozen times now over the past two days and am failing each time. the bunny part printed in about 7 hours... I am now onto the egg portion and this is where I am failing one half fails just after layer 55 every time. I have changed speeds and filament trying to resolve but continue to fail.....?

Sorry to hear that. I've printed the eggs several times on my A1 and haven't had any issues. Are you printing inner walls before outer? Have you tried a different filament to make sure it's not a wet roll?

Sorry I am pretty new I don't know if it is inner walls first or how to check that? I used the same filament on the next print and it went pretty well. I will try a new roll soon as this one is emptied and see if that does any good. I am using a Bambu X1-C. Thank you for your input.

I'm pretty new myself. If you are using bambu studio, there is a setting under Quality and Advanced that lets you select the order of walls. The only reason I asked about inner/outer walls is your pictures made it look like your print was starting to fail as the walls start to curve and I thought maybe it was printing the outside wall first on top of thin air. I also think the X1 is faster than the A1. Maybe if you slowed down the print speed a bit the layers would have a better chance to adhere? I don't know. Like I said, I am not super experienced either. Just trying to guess at what might be causing those layers to result in a bird nest.
