Description

SUPER LOUD!!! Train Horn sound

5 horns all with unique notes come together to make an amazing train horn sound.

No extra parts needed, everything is 3D printed including valves and trumpets.

I have incorporated a threaded cap to retain the valve insert, this can also allow the horn to be tuned.

The horns are a push in fit and don't require any glue.

Some Notes when assembling-

Please don't tighten the caps as this will close of the valve.

Insert the horns gently to avoid cracking the outer tube.

The horns are printed using vase mode so will have to be printed individually.

Take care when removing the valve insert from the build plate as they are fragile.(only 1 layer thick)

I have had the most success printing the valves on a smooth build plate.

Test and tune each horn before final assembly onto the main distributor.

I hope you have as much fun with your Train Horn as I did creating and designing it.

It is impossible to make it sound, horn by horn yes, but all together, not even if a hurricane blows.

Thank you for your feedback. Can you please check that there is a good seal between the horns and the distributor, Also maybe one horn is not sealing this could cause the air to release early causing a malfunction.

I would also suggest you try printing the valves on a smooth build plate, the valves will still function on a textured plate but require a lot more air as they don't seal as well. If you don't have a smooth build plate you could try sanding the base of the valve gently to make it smooth. Hope this helps.

I find it is best to let the plate cool to help release the valve, also I gently work my way around the edge a little at a time. Can I ask what build plate you are using?

This looks awesome! but I must be missing something. when I download I only see the "bell" and not the manifold, caps, or valve.
