Updates:

  • 26 Mar. 2025: I've released version 1.0 of this model, based on feedback from the community. Thank you! What changed:
    • The UCG-Fiber now goes 1mm further into the mount, making it more flush with the front.
    • Reduced the size of the side holes.
    • Increased the internal spacing by 0.1mm on all sides.
    • Added vent holes to the back plate.
    • Added variants without the front cutout.
    • Made the walls 0.5mm thinner on the sides, to make it easier to install the mount in the rack.
    • Added orientation arrows in the back plate and mount to indicate which side of the mount should be up.

Parts

  • 4x M3x10 or 4x M3x12 for the back cover.
  • Optional: 4x M3 thread inserts. Use those if you don't want to screw the back, you can print the Main Body for thread insert instead of the regular one and apply the thread inserts, such as this one from CNC Kitchen.

Pefect! Thank you again! One small thing that threw me off was the arrows don't line up if you want to put the plate side out (finished edge). It didn't affect anything, I just figured that the arrows pointing up would match but it looks like you intended them to be on the outside. Also, I'd love to see a version without the cutout considering there isn't anything on the front to plug in. I assume that's for network cables? Great print thank you!

I think the front cut out is if you have it flipped around so you can have the network cables on the front, but I agree a version without it would be great

Love your setup Tim. What filament are you using to print that? I’ve been looking for something resembling the UniFi silver.

It fits really well; a few mm more height would have been good, so the adhesive feet wouldn't have to be removed first. I would have preferred a smaller cutout so you can't see through the sides.

I’ve been desperately waiting for this! It almost fits perfectly. It is a bit snug height wise so 1 or 2 mm more high would be ideal.

Just a recommendation but it would be nice if on all your rack mounts, including this one, if there was a spot in the back for the power bick to lay. This way you don’t need to have one shelf with a lot of power bricks building up
