Description

Filament clip and label to use when the filament is inside and outside of the polydryer

I use a TZe tape printer, 18mm wide for the label.  The ZIP file contains a template for the label in the pictures

In the included files is a fusion 360 model file.  It is parametric and can be configured to adapt to other label sizes and “clipping targets”

Parameters:

thickness  - 2.3mm

label_width - 18mm
label_length - 34mm
label_offset (room for bevels) - 1.5mm

spool_max_thickness - 3.6mm
spool_rib_length - 9mm

polydryer_rib_thickness - 2.35mm
polydryer_rib_length - 4.5mm

bumper_thickness (ribs that give friction to the clip that hold to the spool and polydryer) - 0.5mm

filament_diameter - 1.5mm
filament_offset - 0.5mm
filament_holder_bump_diameter - 0.7mm

Unfortunately, it doesn't fit me well

I added info on the design's parameter. You can tweak the spool and polydryer rib thickness in fusion 360 to get a fit specific for your use.

Great model, printed perfectly! I also added a profile for the size labels I'm using (11x54mm) to print out labels from Spoolstock. Also for anyone who has filament from Protopasta (or filament with similar cardboard spools) the side of the clip that attaches to the PolyDryer box also attaches perfectly to Protopasta cardboard spools. That honestly made this design so perfect for me since it works with my Bambu spools, Protopasta spools, and PolyDryer boxes! Now the only thing I need to figure out is a good way to have these on the AMS when a roll is in there. Thanks for making the label size super easy to adjust in the CAD file! I was really happy to see that it was all parametrized when I opened it up in Fusion :)

Thanks. I'll add doc about the parameters next week. From memory, the spring that holds the filament may not have very smart limits, parameter-wise.
