Description

Here you can find my design of the famous Gibson Les Paul guitar as goldtop verison.

Inspired by the axe used by guitarist Slash version called Victoria".

Overall the model is printed on 6 build plates including a small stand for displaying the guitar.

Do not be suprised about the position of the neck on the first plate but I tried several positions and supports

but only in this position I achived the best quality.

The main challenge of the designing process was to get the curves on the top right and to have the proper

overall shape of the Les Paul.

Filament Colors I used:

- PLA Gold for the Top

- PLA Black

- PLA Silver

- PLA Copper (specially for the Gibson writting on the head stock and also for the knobs)

- PLA Wood for the neck and main body

You can also use red filament for the main body, also tried it as you can see on some of the pictures.

Which color you prefer for the main body or cover is personal preference.

All you need is a little bit of super or model glue for the assembly.

On the smaller parts you have to be a little bit carefull to not break them but otherwise it is a very straight

assembly.

For details see the included assembly instruction.

I hope you will enjoy the printing and assembling as I have enjoyed designing it.

Built for my dad who is a massive slash fan and he loved it, it's a little delicate in places but it was really fun to put together. Thank you for the awesome model!

Sorry, but it is just a miniature. My wife did not agree to me that much space to have a full size printer 😎
