Description

Blastech Industries: Bringing the Boom to the Galaxy!

We’re not some fly-by-night operation run by a bunch of nerf-herders. We’re the real deal. We’re the guys who look at a star destroyer and say, “That’s a nice start, but where’s the oomph?”
Here at Blastech, we don’t just build blasters. We build solutions.

  • Those pesky Separatist Droids?

  • Womp rats getting too big for your farm?

  • Geonosian Hive Minds?

Blastech industries is here with the hardware to put a smile on your face!

    Guarantee:
If our blasters don’t vaporize your target, we’ll give you your money back. (And a free thermal detonator, just to show there are no hard feelings.)

    CEO, Blastech Industries

Hardware info:

These were all made from scratch by me, except for the DC-15A Long gun. The original model for that was made by Woyta94 on thingiverse, it's a beautiful piece of work.  I scaled it to movie appropriate size & added a dummy13 size grip. Also added some reinforcement here & there to make small scale printing more reliable.

Here's a list of the weapons!

  • DC-15A Long rifle

  • DC-15S Carbine

DC-15S Carbine variant with sight guards!

  • DC-17 Pistol

  • DC-17M Commando Modular Carbine

  • Z-6 Chaingun

The clones pictured are the absolutely incredible work done by TroisCentTrenteTrois here on makerworld, if you haven't already you should absolutely go print an army of his creations!

Notes.

The profile prints great in PLA and PETG-HF, But I recommend PLA or PLA matte for highest detail. The ones in the pictures were printed in PETG-HF. PETG tends to lose the finer details unless you use .2 nozzle, but the part is a little tougher if it's gonna be used alot.

I printed with .4mm nozzle, and also did them all in .2 for the photos. Smaller nozzle gives even better detail of course.

I oriented most of them upright to get maximum detail, at the expense of print time. The DC-15A is an exception, I cut it in half & laid it flat, so it will need to be glued together. 2 or 3 drops of super glue is plenty.

The Chaingun I designed in 4 pieces that friction fit nicely, I printed out a couple in different materials & at .08 layer height the detail is very good, and the fit was consistent. No glue needed. Take care when removing the forward grips from the print bed, I made them thin for accuracy but the trade-off is they're a bit delicate. They're setup to print with the best possible layer orientation, I think.

One more note, I noticed after I started this post that TroisCentTrenteTrois also made a Z-6 Chaingun! It's packaged with his heavy trooper. His might even be better than mine 😂 but I spent like 8 hours on this thing dangit and I'm gonna upload it anyways 🤣

Enjoy!

4-6-2025 Update: Designed a holster for the pistol, Modelled after captain Rex's holsters. Also made a new hip armor piece for the clone armor set, it's basically an exact replica but with a square mounting hole for accessories. Holster fits it nicely by friction, but you can always add glue if needed.

You'll find the print profile at the top of the page.

4-7 Update: New photos, and modified the print profiles. Now all weapon types are contained in one profile.

Hey there, did you use the .3mf file from the print profile? Or the .stp cad file? The .3mf should work fine, I uploaded the .stp in case anyone wanted to modify it, but I had the same problem occasionally with it loading really slow. I think it's a super high poly model, so sometimes it loads slow. The slicer simplified the model when it converted to .3mf so the one in the print profile loads fast. If its not loading at all, I can try to simplify it a little & upload it again. might be a couple days till I have time tho.

Oo, that's a good idea. I feel like I've seen one for the stock version of dummy 13, I haven't seen one for these guys yet. I'll try to give it a shot!
