2 teeth broke off during removal, would adjust the settings for top z distance for cleaner supports. Does not fit a normal size ear so not sure if I need to re-print and scale up. I do not think a normal ear lobe will fit this and might be too wonky scaled up. I am all ears to change this as I am wanting these to work but having problems justifying re-printing, thank you🙌

Thanks for the recommendations, the top z is set to .22 it seems to sag if I increase it anymore on my printer. I have been working with the supports for the new set of earrings and if the work better I'll update the profile. I have noticed that the type of filament greatly increased the stickiness of the supports (matte filament is like concrete). Maybe some of the others in the ratings can give some advice, most of the pics on here seem to have come out really nice.

I also noticed that you used the profile that was made by another user. if you downloaded the original profile you can use the paint bucket tool to re color any of the parts, there is also a no color version you can test print for supports.

I did download another profile to save time but am aware this can cause issues so will be trying the original, I did not compare the 2 profiles so there could be some crutiql changes that I might have missed on my part, I used Bambu pla basic on 2/3 of the colors and really only seemed to snag on the teeth, Gonna give these another shot and update hopefully today

Those look great! trying to find optimal rotation with keeping the layer lines at minimum is definitely a challenge.

So, some tips for anyone looking to print these: 1) switch the eye colors. Make the inside black and the outside white. They look so much better this way. I don't know why. 2) The second option prints much faster and uses far less filament. 3) If you use PLA to print your little sharkies, use PETG for the supports. It will save the teeth. PETG does not stick to PLA. 4) Save the inside the mouth color. Just make it the same as the belly. You can't see it anyway.

Thanks for the boost and feedback! Just wanted to share a few notes in response: Sharks have all-black eyes—that’s why I designed them that way by default. But if the reversed colors work better for your style, go for it! You’re totally right—Option 2 prints faster and uses less filament because it’s a solid, unpainted version. Using PETG for supports is a great tip—definitely helps protect those teeth when printing with PLA. And yeah, making the inside of the mouth the same color as the belly is a smart call—saves filament and doesn’t affect the final look. Appreciate you taking the time to share your tips with everyone!

This is an amazing model! I printed 5 sets of them yesterday and they turned out great. The earring studs get delivered today, so my daughter will have shark chomped earrings to keep or give to her friends.

They are extremely cute. I printed 3 at once but still the waste is somewhat eye-watering. Not something I make a habit of but once in a while is fine. Thanks for the model.

Thanks for the boost! I agree the waste is a little rough but printing a bunch at one time helps, and just another reason to get a new H2D lol

Would love to get an H2D but not really justifiable for my use. My wife, daughter and granddaughter are very excited though. I’m going to try the dino-chompers in single colour and let the crafty ladies do their thing.

How do you attach the earring post to the print?

I just used some super glue on a post and put it in the mouth at the top :)

@LoFi_Layers would you say you put the post pretty close to the teeth or more centered in the mouth?

Close to the teeth, I try to get it as high as I can in the mouth. That way it fits the bottom of the ear a little better :)

can I see a photo of where to glue the post? I’m a dad and my daughter wants these, so I want to make sure I get it right.
