Please notice, it is only compatible with Hydra PRO 1.00, not the new 1.01.

Hydra PRO was developed with a focus of maximizing spool compatibility, for both wide and large diameter spools so the slots are as wide as possible in order for 79 mm wide spools to fit, which is why there are no tabs like for normal Hydra AMS.

Hydra PRO - Low Friction Tabs is a set of optional tabs to reduce friction in specific cases or for certain type of spools, it will also keep the sides of the Hydra PRO nice and tidy as the spools will not to touch the sides of Hydra PRO and instead the tabs.

You could instead add some low friction tape to the front and rear if you like.

Maximum Spool Widths

However, using these optional tabs, the maximum spool width compatibility is reduced to 78 mm, which is still wide enough for almost all 1 Kg spools. If you use spools that are over 78 mm though, use Hydra PRO without these optional tabs, it's completely fine and has been tested for over 8 months without any issues. You can of course use the tabs in certain spools slots only as well if you want.

The tabs are just 0.6 mm wide and click in place where ever you choose in the hex cutouts, you can install them over the RFID boards as well. It's a good idea to place them as low as possible and near the front and back in case the spool has a raised edge (like some eSUN spools for instance).

They can easily be removed with just your fingernails, they are just friction fit.

Print Settings

Print them flat as I have set them. The 3MF contains just one tab (unless you print the Print Profile of course). You can print as many as you like but a full set of 16 tabs (for all four spool slots) is only around 6 g of filament.
