Description

Boost Me (for free)

Please boost me for free , it helps a lot in creating free models for you. Happy Printing!

Please use the attached 3MF file for printing. It contains everything needed for a successful print. The printer will pause at a certain point to allow you to add the poop, then resume printing manually.

Poop Recycling Cat

Turn your 3D printing waste into something one-of-a-kind creative and useful with this Recycling Cat. This innovative model is designed with a hollow, Voronoi-style body, allowing you to fill it with “printer poop” left over from color changes of your bambu printer. Make it super unique with different poop colors.

The elegant sitting cat pose gives this model a sleek and modern appearance, making it a decorative piece while also promoting eco-friendly practices in 3D printing. The solid head, tail, and paws contrast beautifully with the geometric wireframe body, allowing the colorful filament scraps inside to create a unique visual effect.

This is a cool way to repurpose plastic waste, making your 3D printing hobby more sustainable and environmentally friendly while also creating a stunning decorative model!

Save the World from printer poop and turn it in to art. :)

Thanks a lot! There is no support inside or in the place where you had it. The only support is for the tail and between his rear legs. You need to use 3mf file attached.

Try waiting completely for the print to cool down, remove from the plate and just place it for longer time to cool, like 30min. Are your supports similar to the one I have attached, I don’t have any supports on the side.

Awesome, if you use 3MF file it has a pause in the place where you can add all the poop easily then finish pritning:)

I hadn't noticed it in the slicer, so when it paused, I didn't understand why… I panicked a bit, restarted the print, and once it finished, I filled the holes in the sides with poop filament one by one like an idiot… Now I've started printing another cat, and I've seen that there's actually a pause to fill with poop filament more easily

Yet to print, but all I did change was to X1 Carbon, and varible layer, and the supports are going though much like what @AuraDesigns mentioned. Will tunr off auto supports and paint the ones in you have shown. (Downloaded the 3MF file)

I love using variable layer height and rely on it all the time. However, I typically avoid it with Voronoi patterns—it mightwork, but you'd need to test it case by case. When I design with Voronoi, making quick changes and seeing the results is nearly impossible. Variable layer height also slightly alters the geometry, which can throw off the supports. As for support settings (as saved in the 3MF file):Tree supportsDefault settingsBuild plate onlySupport critical regions onlyRemove small overhangs

Cheers, YEah that's still the setting for the tree supports. I've changed it to manual and painted the supports on similar to the photo you uploaded. I'll give it a go with variable layer height. See how it goes.!

Great print! I would suggest moving the pause way further up, because for me I waited for 15 minutes until it started the head to add more poop. Don't take that away from the elegant design though! I print multicolor with 0.3 flushing volume, and it still holds it.

Looks great, thanks! Initially, I had the pause right at the very top where the head starts. I didn’t think twice—loaded up poop to the brim, started the print, and the poop string from my multicolour filament (which is usually pretty thick) ended up getting caught between the model and the nozzle. Not only did it make a mess, but it actually pulled the model completely off the bed.I was worried this might happen to other people too, so I decided to lower the pause point. That way, it’s harder to overfill.

Ok, maybe could you add a print profile with the pause at the top with a warning?

An amazing idea to display your poop! loved the design! also a great idea to pause the print to allow us to put the poop inside, I'm glad i read the comments and found out about this wonderful idea! now I have to print a few more since I still have more poop to display. I'm going to boost this! Can I request that you make a dragon?

Thanks a lot, I'm currently working on few animals, elephant, bear, another dog (I just uploaded small chihuahua today) I will try designing dragon but they are very hard to make due to intricacy of the detail on the dragon. it would have to be fat dragon :)))
