Boost Me (for free)

Welcome to sponsor me in creating more interesting models!

This is an adjustable, modular stand with customizable joint components that can be designed and modified to suit various needs. I have tested it as a stand for monitors, smartphones, and tablets—even an iPad Pro 11-inch can be securely supported. Additionally, it can be used for manually adjusting the viewing angle for photography.

The core idea behind this design is to address the issue of neck strain caused by prolonged downward gazing at mobile devices. By elevating the device to eye level, it helps reduce muscle tension in the neck and improves overall comfort during use.

Very nice print! I broke mine while attempting to move the scissor arms before assembly. 🤣 Perhaps it's because I printed it in PETG? I went ahead and assembled it anyway for fun. I'm reprinting the scissor arms in PLA as I type this.

After I printed the model, I could not move the scissor arms. I tried to gently move them back and forth but one of the connection points broke off. I was able to remove the supports without any issue. I printed on a Carbon X1 with default settings. I may need to adjust something to get it to print and be movable.

I didn't use any supports for the scissor structure when printing because, after multiple tests, I found that the adhered parts could be separated by firmly gripping them. Could you show me the broken part so I can check if the model needs any adjustments?

Mine broke in exactly the same place as the person above. I already glued it back and am using it fixed. It's a very cool print, I was wondering if there were some settings I need to change on the Carbon that would allow it to move more freely. None of the 'movable' sections freed up from each other. I am using Generic PLA.
