Since these boxes are quite expensive and there aren't any replacement closures available online I decided to design it myself. (Also because I own a 3D printer and love to design stuff)
I tried my best to remake the original closure as good as possible and after some prototypes I also had the shrinkage of PLA calculated.
The replacement closure is designed to make sure that kids can still open the box, if you want tighter tolerances just reach out to me.
I decided to use the 0.08mm layer height preset due to the cylindrical part of the closure.
I also added support because of that specific part and because of the two pockets for the hinges.
The support is a bit rough to remove, but necessary!
Please sand the edges after removing the support!
I didn't touch the infill settings, because I tested the closure and it didn't even break once, even though it's printed in PLA.
The profile will probably also work for PETG, but since my prints in PLA didn't break I don't think there's a special need for PETG.
Feel free to upload a profile for PETG, if you want to!
If you run into any issues, while printing, assembling or using the closure, please let me know so I can adjust the geometry or settings asap.
And if you like the model I would love some kind of feedback from you by liking, rating or even boosting it for free!
Thank you for printing!
