Description

Realistic Tarantula spider for Joke or Halloween

 

!----------Read carefully before printing, not for beginners-------------!

 

Realistic style tarantula spider , for pranks or Halloween decoration.

 

This model , compared to another spider model of mine , has greater strength and size and resembles the tarantula-like appearance.

 

The printing profile is recommended only for those who own an AMS , as , given the complexity of the printing and the printing position , to maintain the details and naturalness of the model , supports are used in certain position.


***It is therefore necessary to have, in addition to the desired PLA for the color of the spider , also a reel of PLA support or , in the absence of this , a reel of PETG ***


This does not detract from the fact that it can also be printed with a single filament , but you will have to change the print profile under “supports” in the slicer . If you get good results , you could load your 1-filament print profile .

 

In the image you can see the white filament which is the special support filament for PLA which is adherent between the support and the model

 

The print profile is already preset to use “PLA media” , in case you use PETG , check under the media item of the slicer , that your support filament is correct (See figure)


With support for PLA , removal remains very easy and the model clean and smudge-free , although it will obviously take longer to print.


On the other hand, those who want to print because without AMS or prefer the traditional method , remember to change the upper Z distance of the supports which is currently set to 0 because of the use of the PLA support. (See figure)

 

Please remember that if you change the print profile , the profile evaluation may not match reality as it has not been tested by me. If you get good results , release on this page the profile to a filament.
