An egg-shaped poke-ball! What?! Yes, ideal for pokemon lovers for the Easter festivities!

This is an upload of my previous egg model to join the easter eggs contest 2025!

The ball has six components:

  • The white base
  • The white button
  • The black ring
  • The black button ring
  • The red topper

Materials needed

  1. Super glue
  2. 1x M3 screw (14 or 15mm long)
  3. 1x M3 nut

Assembly instructions

  1. Snap fit the white button into the black button ring, making sure it fits snugly and level.
  2. The black ring has two pins that fit inside the black button ring. Gently bend the ring and fit the pins in the holes.
  3. Deposit some glue on and around the three vertical pins that stick out of the white base, and on the button alcove on the white base.
  4. Fit the black ring over the white base. The black ring has three holes where the pins should fit perfectly. Use them as a guide.
  5. Align the red topper screw holes with the black ring screw holes and use your fingers or an allen key to drive the M3 screw in. Then cover it on the other side using the M3 nut.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about this problem. I would expect some degree of sagging because of the steep overhangs but not to that point. See attached image (this is acceptable) +. Here's what you can try: use adaptive layer height and reduce the layer height up to layer ~60 to 0.08mm. You can also try reducing the speed of the lower layers to reduce wobble. Also make sure to run the vibration compensation calibration as those layers look wildly inconsistent. What kind of filament are you using?

Sorry for the late reply. This profile is made for PLA Matte. I advise against using PETG. In that case, it looks like your filament may be very wet. I also added a new profile with a smoother bottom curve and it may be easier to print.

Nice! No worries, it happened to me with some models too. Not sure why

I printed the second version. it is almost fixed! just the first 1/8 is wavy. The other pieces printed with out issue.

Nice! Using a matte filament helps in hiding the slope transition

The lower half prints somewhat imperfectly due to the thin wall lacking support Nonetheless it looks superb

Thanks! But please prefer using the v2 profile for the bottom. I update the geometry to be less slanted and should print very smoothly in pla matte. See picture below!
