Description

Here is a massively customizable plate generator for all your needs

Name tags, keyrings, glue-on plates for your drawers or cabinets, joinable labels for your own models… you name it, this model can do it for you!

The print in the image requires 2.45 grams of filament and with the default mounting head parameters is plenty strong to remain where you put it, and you can make the base thicker as well as increase the infill percentage if you require an even more sturdy connecting point

The customizer generates AMS-ready 3MF files, but you can easily just define any colors and place a pause at the layer before which you want the printer to wait for you to swap filaments

  • You can change the width and height of the tag itself. Length is determined by the text, head and chosen rounding radius
  • You can choose the mounting hole size and margin from the edge. Or make the size zero and have no hole at all, go wild!
  • You can choose the length of the mounting head
  • You can freely choose from all the fonts available in the Makerworld customizer library (link to a list here)
  • You can change the font size, margin from the edge and the distance between each letter
  • You can choose the base and font colors
  • You can generate either 3MF files for printing with color information, or STL files which don't carry color information. The SCAD code is downloadable and viewable in the Customizer window

The two tags in the cover image use the font Orbitron for the Bambu Lab text and Lobster for the white-and-pink tag. The list of fonts keeps growing and you should head to the bottom of this description to see how you can check the list live

Of course with so many sliders to pull, there are always combinations that don't work very well together. So if you see glitches or unprintable surfaces, check if the parameters are really what you wanted. If there is a combo that you really want to make but doesn't seem to work here, let me know and I'll see if I can do something about it

Like the model? Would you like to see more? Throw me a boost, it is much appreciated and best of all it's free!

How do I use this thing?

Near the place where you usually see the button to open the model in your Bambu Studio, you can see a button that reads Customize, like this

Clicking that button takes you to the Customizer page, gives you the default settings and presents you with the following view. There on the Customize pane you can see all the parameters at your disposal along with a comment explaining what that particular parameter does

How can I check which libraries and fonts I can use?

If you click on the chevron just below the word Code, you will open the element where you can see the SCAD script that generates the dynamic model, and there on the very bottom you can find a book icon that shows you the currently available list of Third-party libraries and Fonts that you can use on MakerWorld
