great concept, and it fits well on the cardboard piece. I actually turned supports off since I didn’t want to deal with removing them. it came out fine! a few saggy bits but they are hidden and don’t affect function. there’s a wall on the bottom part that is too thin to print but it still fits with only the outside wall. I only wish the top swivel part stayed on better. if you push slightly too hard it falls into the bin.

oops i just realized that wall of the bottom part. Hey it saves a bit of filament lol. I tried making the top swivel more of a clasp but it kept getting stuck in an open position so decided against it. I can add a print profile with the clasp top if you would like it.

I would try that out! regardless I’m using it for little bits of printer trash and it’s a cool use of the spool cores, so thanks for sharing it :)

Finally uploaded the best model I could to hopefully get a 5 stars rating. now the swinging lid requires a bit of force to "click" into position but once its on there you can push with enough force to make it do 360s on the bar. Enjoy!!

The print came out lovely and clean. The big problem was the sheer amount of support material in the groove of the top section. It was a real problem to get it all out. It might be a good idea to use painted supports instead of auto-generated.
