Version 2. Some users have reported that their plates don’t fit the grip opening. This could be due to the print not having the intended gap, or perhaps their plates are slightly thicker than average. To address this issue, I’ve included two additional plates with a wider opening in the updated print profile.

print is nice and solid, has excellent grip on the textured build plate for A1, the smooth plate did not fit (plate may be too thick for the slot in handle).

Hello. Thank you for your feed back. The smooth plate should fit. The grip has two different opening withs on each side, just flip the plate and it should fit.

He’s right, the smooth PEI plate doesn’t fit. The tool works fine with the textured PEI plate and the cool plate supertack, which are only about 0.6mm thick. The surface of the smooth PEI plate is actually a big sticker which brings the total thickness to just over 1mm, and the slot in the tool is only 1mm, so it’s a press fit at best. I’d imagine the “3D effect” plates would have the same issue since they also have large stickers on top of the base steel plate. It’s a great design, but it would be nice to have one that works with the thicker plates too.

Hi. I’ve designed the gaps to fit the carbon fiber plates that I have, which are around 1mm thick. I will increase the gap to 1.1mm so it fits the thicker plates. Thanks again for the feedback!
