Customizable Extruder Case – Bambu Lab X/P series

Give your Bambu Lab X1C or P1S a unique touch with this new customizable toolhead case! Instead of the original logo, you can insert your name, brand, or any text of your choice, making your 3D printer truly one of a kind.

How to do it? Follow these simple steps:

  1. Text Customization

For optimal lighting, the text must be correctly centered over the hole in the case. Since there are any visual guides, you will need to manually adjust the positioning through trial and error.

A useful method to check alignment is to temporarily set the text thickness to 2mm, making it cut through the case so you can verify its position from the other side. Once correctly centered, reduce the thickness to 1.16mm, which is the ideal depth to allow light to pass through.

Important Note: To create the text in engraved (bas-relief) mode, select the text as an object (from the object tab), right-click, choose "Change Type", select "Negative Part", and press "OK". To modify the text, you need to switch back to "Nozzle" mode.

  2. Components installation

To install the new case, you need to retrieve the following from the original cover:

    1. The fan and LEDs
    2. Reusing their screws

Additionally, four magnets are required (these are not recoverable from the original case):

    1. Three round magnets (4mm diameter, 2mm height).
    2. One round magnet (2mm diameter, 1mm height).
These can be purchased online or in specialized stores.
  3. Assembly Instructions

Insert the magnets into the designated slots and secure them with a drop of super glue for a firm hold.

Remove all print supports before assembly to ensure proper airflow through the fan’s ventilation channels.

Be careful with the wiring connections to avoid installation issues.

Important Notes

  • Some darker colors may reduce light transmission. In this case, consider increasing the text depth by 0.16mm or making it fully cut through the case.
  • Recommended to print in PETG but I tested also in PLA
  • This product is not an original component. The creator is not responsible for any damage or malfunction of the printer resulting from the use of this case.

amazing, works perfectly, i added black at the height range 21.76 then filled in the bit under the line to make it look close to the original, and for the text i used orbitron to make it also look close to the original. amazing model, 10/10

Yes it's very close to the original one! I raccomanded you printing it face down as my profile, because the geometry was developed with this in mind!
