Description

Gridfinity Box 1x1 with Cardboard Walls – Upcycling Bambu Lab Filament Packaging

Save filament and repurpose packaging!

This Gridfinity 1x1 container requires only 6.3 grams of filament and uses cardboard from a Bambu Lab filament box for the walls. A great way to give packaging a second life and reduce plastic usage. No glue required.

🛠 Print Settings:

  • Designed for 0.2mm layer height and 0.4mm line width
  • 10% infill can be used, but it's not necessary

📏 Cardboard Dimensions:
To achieve a total height of 6U, you’ll need:

  • A piece of cardboard 37 mm tall and ~152 mm long
  • It’s easiest to fold the cardboard along the corrugation, every 38 mm

💡 WIP – This project is still in development! More updates and improvements coming soon.

when printing there are 3 parts, bottom, top and another one, where does this actually go ? I couldn’t make it to look good, so I give up, I’ll try again in the future …

Lovely idea, but I found the cardboard assembly a bit fiddly
