Description

A variation of previous can organisers. This one is deeper to allow smaller cans to be stored without risk of toppling off the shelf.  Printed with two walls an 15% infill seems plenty strong.  just a few screws to fix it to the wall.

Additional Note:-

Based on some feedback relating to storing bigger cans than 64mm (66mm) I added a second plate with the bigger size of 67mm.

Some more feedback received requesting a full size can holder.  The design is now modified to add a profile with 69mm diameter can holders that will cater for bigger Oil cans and also paint aerosols with wider bases.

Part printed perfect in Bambu PETG-HF and is rock solid. Only issue is that I didn’t recognize the slimmer-style cans in the photos before printing the profile and none of my WD-40 cans fit! (I suppose that one is on me for not double checking dimensions…) It’s a quality part that seems much too good to toss, so I’ll just have to find something else to keep in it.

Thanks for the feedback. what diameter are the base of your cans. it is a simple task to increase the diameter slightly and perhaps a second plate to the design catering for bigger cans.

Hello, thank you very much for sharing. Your supports are excellent but a little too small. I need a 66mm interior diameter for a spray can

Thanks for the feedback. I added a second plate that has a slightly larger diameter to cater for the larger cans you mention. The new plate has 67mm which is very close to the maximum plate size for a 4 can version.

This print is incredibly strong and well design. Unfortunately even the larger version does not fit paint spray cans.

Hi Can you please tell me the diameter of the can base? A few people have mentioned the same issue to me. One option is to scale the print a little bigger in Bambu studio. However, I can perhaps increase the diameter a little more and still make the model fit on the print bed. If so, I can add another profile to the design in the form of another plate. All feedback is welcomed.

The can measured 66.7 mm. Your print says it's 67mm, must be outside diameter. Should design for a 69mm inside diameter. I'm going to try my hand at it myself.

doesn't fit larger cans but a nice holder.

If you try one of the other print profiles you will get one to fit bigger cans. The 69mm diameter one is in response to requests for a holder for bigger cans such as paint aerosols and large wd40 cans. Glad you like the print.

2nd Plate added with 67mm diameter for bigger cans
Just what I needed! Printed in BL PETG-HF, came out perfect. Most of the aerosol cans I have laying around like the WD-40 and Rustoleum pictured are necked-in at the bottom. When I drop them in they fit so satisfyingly well they slowly float down to the bottom of the cup as the air escapes from under them. Some straight-body cans where the top/bottom seams are a larger diameter may require some model scaling (if it will fit on the buildplate), so just check your cans before you print.

Hello - If you're in the US most cans are ~67.4mm. If this impacts you - to save some time (and filament) you're going to want to modify OP's model to be ~70mm. Nice model though!

To be clear, OP's new 67mm size won't fit standard size cans in the USA.

The 67mm profile fit most of my spray cans perfectly. Printed again in BL PETG-HF. As long as the the can is slightly necked-in at the bottom so that the dome seam is roughly the same diameter as the can, it should fit nicely with very little play. Perfect for my use since I’ll probably mount it on the inside of a cabinet door or something. Props to OP for the upload!

Hi another print profile now added that caters for up to 69mm should address the issue you highlighted.
