First off i must give credit where credit is due for Yasiek's amazing pen holder design.

This is the eXO POD speaker system and thanks to Yasiek it's a fun little project to go along side his original art.
Please note! This is just a fun desktop speaker that's easy to print and assemble and is designed to be used as i do with a sub.
This is not a critical listening set of speakers but thanks to the amazing HiVi B3 speaker it does have a nice sound.
The basis is thanks to Yasiek's well designed frame it can utilise a pod style speaker system making the design versatile and infinatly customisable.
The HiVi B3 speaker is my 3" driver of choice and as of right now sells for around 15au but in all honesty any cheaper 3" driver will work just as well as there is no X-over and the speakers run in “full range” mode.
(I'm still working on a magnetic drop in grill cover for those who prefer not to see the unit)
Once you pick your design combo the pods are built and are designed to be glued shut but will stay together in the frame if you don't want to make this choice.
I have added 2 styles of backs , ported and non ported. Honestly i think they sound and work better sealed with no port but have a play it's all fun.
I have also added a Dual version for those looking to pump more power as i do using a decent amp. (again i use a sub) And this setup @ 4ohm can go extremely loud and stay clear.
The design is such that the pod once glued should press fit into the frame and stay . But if you are happy with your choice of speaker etc feel free to perma glue the pod into the frame. This does make for a pretty ridged combo.
I intend to keep adding new pods and extra's so check back for updates and please add your own designs and mods!
Yasiek's gifted us with such a wonderful design to play with lets have fun with it :)
What you need.
For the speakers i used simple computer case screws…. i found these to be plentiful to tinkerers. You will need 8 for the 2 single speakers and 16 for the doubles.
