If you find my designs unique, I'd really appreciate your support!

A skeleton of a snake, made to be printed in parts and snapped into each other.
Since the parts snap in, this can be made as long as possible, simply print Part_2 section as many times as you wish and connect it!
The jaw hinges, however the head does require supporting to avoid gluing parts. The profiles come with supports painted where needed. Only the skull requires supports, body sections are supportless!

Careful removal for teeth supports and basic patience is recommended to avoid breaking them off.
Clean built plate with no adhesion issues is a must. If you have issues, follow Bambu's official guide.

a few spots were a bit problematic, but the design is a huge hit at my work (animal care), and I've gotten requests for more realistic colors for education purposes. as for the small issues: one of the connection points broke when putting it together and had to be reprinted, and the lower jaw had several teeth snap off when removing supports. I was able to separate the jaw from the head in the slicer and reprint it in a different orientation, which turned out well

Sorry you had issues! Unfortunately silk filaments tend to be far more brittle compared to regular PLA. :(

yeah, that's probably part of ny issue for sure. I'm planning to reprint once I get a bone color filament, and I'll likely increase the infill/wall count to make it a bit more sturdy for educational use. excellent model overall!! our herpetologist was pretty impressed too 😊

I added a separate profile for the skull if you'd like to try that out too! The head and jaw print separately and snap in which makes the supports muuuuch easier to remove, and the piece holding the jaw together is far less flimsy. Just tested with the silk I had and had no issues. And thank you so much! I'd like to do the "accurate yet printable" treatment for the body skeleton at some point as they're just using a generic articulated bones I made for something else.

As I said, the model is incredible, but one issue I've noticed is that the teeth printed poorly, although the rest of the body printed well Nonetheless, this model is fantastic
