Miniature Circuit Breaker Lockout Safety Device, Electrical Lockout Device (Switch OFF)

I have incorporated a 5 mm set screw, tightened via Allen key, into the design; a padlock may be affixed to the larger aperture to deter unauthorized access to the electrical system

NB: Misuse of this device may result in severe injury or fatality This is not hyperbole.
Its purpose is to ensure circuit safety during maintenance procedures. The involvement of qualified electricians is strongly advised

Improper use of this device can cause serious harm and death. I am not trying to be over the top. this is for keeping a circuit safe while someone is working on said circuit. You should also be licensed.

Correct. The picture is wrong. The switch must be locked out when in OFF position to prevent someone can switch on it again while working on the electrical circuit. The second point it is also very dangerous because if locking the ON postion the breaker cannot protect in case of short circuit and fire can be generate. Please provide correct information and adjust the picture.

The green color is deceptive; in this case, the device is OFF despite the green color. Enlarging the image reveals this more clearly. I will update the description for better understanding. I designed it for home use to prevent precisely these kinds of accidents

Replying to @zini.roby :
The green on these MCB's mean it is safe to work on I.E in the off position.

Won't this prevent the breaker from working Oo?

Exactly. It serves precisely to prevent accidental reactivation by others should the system require maintenance. To prevent injuries

If I understand correctly, this device is to be used only when breaker is OFF, so there's no "working" condition

it is used to put on the breaker with a lock on it. so you can safely work on electrical stuff behind that breaker. that way no one but the one with the key of the lock can turn the breaker back on.
